Obtain personal property line items from policyholders

ClaimXperience Personal Property allows you to request line item data from the assignment claimant. If you have access to this feature, you can send policyholders  an email with a link to their projects in ClaimXperience; there, they can add their items along with images, receipts, or other supporting files.

Request data from policyholder

In your assignment with ClaimXperience Personal Property, complete the following:

1.      In the left navigation menu, select Tools.

2.      Select ClaimXperience Personal Property.

3.      Enter the email for the insured/policyholder.

4.      (Optional) Select IMPORT ALL ITEMS if there are any existing items you would like the policyholder to review. When the list appears, remove any items that you do not want included.

Note: If you have added items to the estimate but IMPORT ALL ITEMS is greyed out, save and exit the project and then reopen it.

5.      When ready, select SEND.

Receive data from the policyholder

When the policyholder creates their item list and submits it, Xactimate automatically receives the data, but you may need to sync your application to apply the updates. When Xactimate alerts you that the data is ready, close the project (if open) and sync Xactimate (if needed).

Review data from policyholder

When ready to review the line item data, complete the following:

1. Open the assignment.

2. When prompted in the ClaimXperience Personal Property window that appears, select Import Now.

3. View the items in the Estimate Items section of the Estimate page, per usual.

Note: If the line items have files attached (e.g., pdfs or images), you can access those by double-clicking the notes field for those line items.
