After you log in, you will be directed to the project dashboard. Projects are organized according to where they are stored: locally, or in the cloud.
When you check out projects, they are stored locally. You can access your projects when you are not connected to the internet, and you are the only one that can edit them. You can also take ownership of a local project. Your local project list will indicate the project name, claim number, profile, project status, total cost, date modified, and type.
The projects in the Cloud list include both assignments sent from XactAnalysis and estimates added manually in Xactimate. Projects stored locally are automatically backed up in the cloud. Projects in the Cloud can be viewed or checked out by other employees who share your instance and have the appropriate rights. They must be checked out before they can be edited. The Cloud project list will indicate the project name, claim number, profile, status, owner, total cost, date modified, and type.
