As part of logging in to Xactimate desktop (X1), you are asked to select your instance. If you have access to more than one instance, you may need to scroll to find the instance you need. Once you find your instance, select it and click Next.
After you choose your instance, you may be asked to select profiles to sync. Choose your profile(s) and select Next.
There are also ways to change and sync instances and profiles inside of Xactimate.
Choosing and changing instances
If you have access to multiple instances and need to switch to a different instance, select the Account iconwhich is located in the upper-right corner of the Local projects window.
Select the instance dropdown menu.
Select your instance from the list to switch to a different instance.
Note: If you have not yet logged in to the different instance when you select it from the dropdown menu, you will automatically be logged out of X1 and will have to log in to the different instance before continuing. If you have already logged in to the instance in X1, the instance will automatically change without logging you out.
Finding and syncing profiles
From the Local projects page, select Tools from the blue menu on the left.
In the Additional Profiles box, select the profile(s) you want to sync.
Select Sync at the bottom-right corner of the Additional Profiles box.
