How do I install the new version of Xactimate desktop?

You can install Xactimate desktop (X1) through our main website or through the eService Center. Once downloaded, open the file and follow the prompts to install the application. If you already have Xactimate 28 installed when you finish installing X1, the data from Xactimate 28 automatically migrates to X1.  

Download the install file 

Website 

To install X1 from the main website, navigate to the installation page at https://www.verisk.com/insurance/products/xactimate/#download and select Download in the upper right. 

eService Center 

To install Xactimate desktop X1 from the eService Center, navigate to the Xactimate page at https://veriskpropertyestimatingsolutions.my.site.com/s/xactimate and select Download Now. 

Complete installation process 

After the download finishes, proceed with the steps below. 

Note: If you already have a version of Xactimate installed on your device, you may need to uninstall it before you can successfully install the new version of Xactimate desktop (X1). 

Note: If prompted to Run or Save, select Save. After Xactimate downloads, proceed to the next step. 

  1. Select Install. 
  2. Select Yes. 

Note: Allow time for all the files to install. If there are any pre-requisites needed, you are prompted to install them. 

  1. Select Launch. 

Note: If you select Tour, Xactimate desktop (X1) opens in your internet browser. From there you can learn more about Xactimate desktop (X1) and how it works. 

  1. Enter your Xactware ID. 
  2. Select Next. 
  3. Enter your password. 
  4. Select Log In. 
  5. Select one or more profiles by selecting the box next to the desired profile(s). 

Note: You can sync profiles at this time or sync them with Xactimate later. For assistance syncing profiles, see Syncing profiles in Xactimate desktop. 

Allow Xactimate to sync data and launch. When it opens, the Local Projects list appears.
