Sketch viewing options

Study Mode | Spacebar | Activate Study Mode | With this selected, click and drag the sketch to view all angles of your Sketch drawing. This is only available in 3-D View. |
Walk-through Mode | K | Activate Walk-through mode | Walkthrough Mode works in the 3D view and gives you the perspective of walking through the building. Use the arrow keys to move around. |
Select View | Shift + [1-9] | View one of multiple view within the 3D view | Each number shows a different aspect, so you can try different options to find the one you need. |
View Other Side | Shift + F | View the other side of the current wall in Elevation View |

The following buttons and keyboard shortcuts change the appearance of your sketch, but they do not affect the estimate itself.

Display Validation |
| Enable display validation, which adds red to certain areas of the sketch if you are attempting to place an item in an invalid space. |

Bearing Wall | Ctrl + B | Toggle bearing wall visibility (bearing walls appear slightly different from regular walls) | To mark a wall as a bearing wall, select it and change Properties > Bearing Wall to Yes. |
Flooring Overlay | Ctrl + Shift + O | Toggle flooring overlay visibility in the sketch | To modify the flooring cuts, select Options > Flooring Cuts Window. You can also modify the direction of the flooring by using Tools > Flooring Orientation. |
Footings |
| Toggle footing visibility (walls with footings appear slightly different from regular walls) | To add bearings to a wall, select it and change Properties > Construction > Footing to Yes. |
Framing | Ctrl + Shift + F | Enable or disable framing visibility | To add framing to a wall, select it and change Properties > Construction > Wall to Framed. |
Deck Framing |

Rooms Below Stairs |
| Enable or disable a view that allows you to add items to a room under the stairs | This view is similar to outline view, but the room is visible instead of the stairs. |
Tip Box |
| Enable or disable the tip box | The tip box appears for some features, giving users information or instructions in the top left of the window. |
Ceiling Surface | Shift + C | Enable or disable visibility of ceiling surfaces in the 3D viewing mode |

| Enable or disable the legend in the workspace |

3D Grid |
| Enable or disable grid visibility in the 3D viewing mode |

Terrain |
| Activate the terrain view | Terrain changes the ground in the 3D view; however, there are currently no options for the terrain appearance. |
Play Animation |
| Activate the automated 3D pan | This rotates the 3D view in an automated way. |
