Annotation options

The following buttons allow you to add an annotation layer to your sketch. You can enable or disable the annotation layer by selecting View > Annotations.

Text 

Add text to the sketch 

This button opens a window where you can modify and format the text. Move the text in the sketch as you would any other element. 

Arrow 

Draw an arrow on the sketch 

You can adjust the arrow after placement by clicking an end and dragging it to the new position. You can also move the arrow by selecting the vertex in the center and dragging it to the new location. 

Ellipse 

Draw an ellipse on the sketch 

You can adjust the ellipse after placement by clicking one of the boxes along the line and dragging in or out. You can also move the ellipse by selecting the vertex in the center of the ellipse and dragging it to the new location. 

Line 

Draw a line on the sketch 

You can adjust the line after placement by clicking an end and dragging it to the new position. You can also move the line by selecting the vertex in the center and dragging it to the new location. 

Rectangle 

Shift + R 

Draw a rectangle on the sketch 

You can adjust the rectangle after placement by clicking one of the boxes along the line and dragging in or out. You can also move the rectangle by selecting the vertex in the center of the ellipse and dragging it to the new location. 

Fill 

Shift + I 

Fill an ellipse or rectangle with a color 

To change the color, first modify it in the Fill Color drop-down menu, then apply the fill.

Select a color for the object fill 

To apply a fill color, you must first select the color and then apply the fill. 

Line Width 

 

Select the line width to use for drawing annotations 

To apply a new line width, you must first select the line width and then add the line.
