Use formulas to calculate line item prices in X1

Formulas help you calculate quantities for less common situations, such as the cubic yards of concrete in a trapezoidal wall or the number of shingles in a circular roof. Here is the full list of provided formulas:

To apply these formulas to a line item, complete the following:

  1. From within an estimate, select Estimate in the left navigation menu.
  2. Select Estimate Items.
  3. Select the appropriate line item in the list below the Quick Entry pane.
  4. Select the Calculator icon for Calc in the Quick Entry pane.
  5. Select Formulas to view a complete list of available formulas.
  6. Select the appropriate formula.
  7. In the window that opens (this varies by formula), enter the required information about the space.
  8. Select OK.
  9. Back in the Quick Entry pane, select OK to save the changes.
