Changing XactScope user and project settings

Updated by Heather Jones

The Estimate Settings tab in XactScope allows you to change either your general settings or the settings for just the current estimate. Select the User Settings button to access settings that you want to change for this and all future projects. The radio button at the bottom must be selected if you’d like any changes to apply to the current estimate. These are only available if allowed by the Profile Defaults. These include the following:

  • User Defaults – High Charges
  • User Defaults – Roof Type
  • User Defaults – Commercial Roof Type
  • User Defaults – Roof Removal
  • User Defaults – Roof Repair
  • User Defaults – Roof Waste
  • User Defaults – Roof Insulation
  • User Defaults – Drip Edge
  • User Defaults – Felt / Joint Taping
  • User Defaults – Valley
  • User Defaults – Flashing
  • User Defaults – Ridge Caps / Vents (Composition)
  • User Defaults – Hurricane Clips (Tile)
  • User Defaults – Bird Stop
  • User Defaults – Nailer Board
  • User Defaults – Vents
  • User Defaults – Satellite Dishes
  • User Defaults – Skylights
  • User Defaults – Soffit/Fascia
  • User Defaults – Crown Molding
  • User Defaults – Exterior Doors
  • User Defaults – Service Call
  • User Defaults – PPE
  • User Defaults – Flooring
  • User Defaults – Equipment Calculation
  • User Defaults – Pumping Extraction
  • User Defaults – Cleansing Agents
  • User Defaults – Haul Off

The project-specific changes are broken up into sections much like the Actions tab. The settings are separated into sections with the minimizing arrow on the left. These sections include the following:

  • Property Information
  • Roof – Automatic Waste
  • Roof – Depreciation/Coverage
  • Exterior – Depreciation/Coverage
  • Window – Depreciation/Coverage
  • Door – Depreciation/Coverage
  • Roof Repair
  • Ice and Water Barrier
  • Flooring
  • Water Mitigation – PPE

These settings are automatically updated as soon as you make changes, so there is no need to save the project to update the settings. Any changes made will be reset with future estimates.
