Apply a status indicator in XactContents

Apply status indicators to a line item to indicate that further action is required. More than one status indicator can be applied to a single item.

  1. Open an estimate, and select the XactContents tab.
  2. Right click a line item in the Inventory tab.
  3. Place your cursor over Status indicators, and select a status. Status indicators are listed in descending order of priority, beginning with Zero total, Uncategorized, and the four custom status colors:
    1. Use the Zero total (red) status to indicate that the item has a total RCV equal to zero. This could be because the item has a quantity or unit price of zero.
    2. Use the Uncategorized (teal) status to indicate that the item has not been categorized or reviewed.
    3. Use up to four of your own custom indicators. To name a custom selector, click Edit custom status instead of a specific status selector. Click Yes, then type a new name for the custom status in the Custom statuses dialog box.

To clear a status indicator:

  1. Open an estimate, and select the XactContents tab.
  2. Right click a line item in the Inventory tab.
  3. Place your cursor over Status indicators, and deselect a status.
