Distribute a claim

The Distribute Claim feature allows you to break up a large estimate into smaller parts. You can distribute parts of the estimate to other users within your instance as pricing tasks. When each user completes their pricing task, the information is automatically transferred back to the original estimate.

  1. Click Distribute Claim on the Inventory, Pricing, or Interview tabs. The Distribute Claim dialog box opens.
  2. Only items that are not currently distributed are displayed. Click Show distributed items to see all items in the estimate.
  3. Select the check box of the item(s) to distribute.
  4. Click Send Checked Items to in the bottom left corner of the dialog box.
  5. Choose the assignee from your list of contacts.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Send.
  8. If items need to be distributed to more than one person, repeat steps 2-6.
  9. Click Close.

You can hide items that are under a specified amount by selecting the Hide items under check box in the upper right corner of the dialog box and entering the minimum amount you want displayed.

Follow the steps below to distribute the claim evenly:

  1. Click Divide Claim Evenly in the upper left corner of the dialog box.
  2. Select the check boxes of all individuals you want to send items.
  3. Click OK.
