Macros in Xactimate mobile

Create a macro 

To create macros in Xactimate mobile, the line items must be already entered in the room. 

Note: Mobile macros appear in Xactimate desktop (X1) and Xactimate online with the name entered as the description, and the code as the date and time the macro was created. 
  1. Open a project. 
  2. In the navigation menu, select Estimate. 
  3. In either the Sketch or List View page, select Start Estimate. 
  4. Add items to a room, level, or folder. (See Adding and removing line items on iOS devices for details.) 
Note: You can also add to an existing macro through these methods; simply choose Add to existing instead of Create new in the appropriate steps. 

From Sketch 

  1. Select the Inventory icon. 
  2. Select the room, level, or folder that has the items. 
  3. Select the items that should be included. 
  4. Select Add to Macro. 
  5. Select Create new. 

 

From Estimate Items 

  1. Select the drop-down caret on the right of the row that includes the items. 
  2. Select the items that should be included. 
  3. Select Add to Macro. 
  4. Select Create new. 

 

 

   

Access and use existing macros 

  1. Open a project. 
  2. In the navigation menu, select Estimate. 
  3. In either the Sketch or List View page, select Start Estimate. 

From Sketch 

  1. Select the room(s) to which you want items added (or keep them all unselected to add items to the whole level). 
  2. Select the inventory icon. 
  3. At the bottom of the screen, select Macros. 
  4. Select the appropriate macro from the list. 
  5. Select the plus icon in the upper right to add the items. 
Note: If you need to leave out any items, select the checkmark next to each one to deselect them before you select the plus icon. 

 

 

From Estimate Items 

  1. Select the room(s) or level to which you want items added. 
  2. At the bottom of the screen, select Add. 
  3. Choose Items from the list that appears. 
  4. Select Macros at the bottom of the screen. 
  5. Select the appropriate macro from the list. 
  6. Select the plus icon in the upper right to add the items. 
Note: If you need to leave out any items, select the checkmark next to each one to deselect them before you select the plus icon.
