Adding a room below stairs and accompanying line items

- Open an estimate.
- In the Sketch tab, add the staircase.
- Select the View button near the bottom right of the sketch workspace.
- Select Rooms below stairs from the menu.
- Add items to the room that appears where the stairs are in the Plan view.
Note: Xactimate rejects graphical estimation for some items in the room under the stairs. If you are unable to place a line item, select the room, right-click inside it to view the option menu, select Add line item, and use the window that appears to add the item(s).
- To return to the Plan view, select View, and deselect Rooms Below Stairs.
