In Sketch, you can designate a structure as a subgroup of another structure. This allows you to treat a group of rooms as a single room for the purpose of adding line items. For example a closet is often designated as a subgroup of a bedroom. When you add carpeting to the bedroom, it is also added to the closet.
- On the Sketch workspace, select the structure you want to designate as a subgroup of another structure.
- Click Properties to open the Properties dialog box.
- Click Subgroup Of and select a structure.
- Click anywhere on the Sketch workspace to close the Properties dialog box and save your changes.
